10,000 children’s face masks to be donated

Posted onPosted on 17th Jun

Mansfield business Trusted PPE is giving away 10,000 children’s masks to organisations across the UK – and is urging people to nominate those working with children who would benefit from a donation.

The company, a PPE supplier, said it was making the donations as face masks become mandatory on public transport and in hospitals.

Trusted PPE wants to help those most in need by running a ‘nominate to donate’ social media campaign, encouraging the public to nominate organisations working with children that would benefit from these donations.

Trusted PPE has already donated 1,000 children’s masks to Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust after reading its Facebook announcement advising that visitors to the hospital must wear face coverings.

Richard Ardis, managing director at Trusted PPE, explained: “The government has recently implemented a lot of important changes in an effort to start getting our country and economy back up and running. Not only has non-essential retail opened back up, but more children are heading back to school and places like hospitals are now making it mandatory for visitors to wear face coverings.

“Our aim is to support the nation through the pandemic, so it only seemed morally right that we give a portion of our PPE away to organisations working with children which would benefit from our support.

With such a high volume of masks to give away, we wanted to reach out to our social media following and ask for nominations from the general public.

“We’re welcoming nominations for the likes of schools, nurseries, children’s charities, hospitals or similar. We want to relieve the worry and pressures that parents and carers are experiencing right now regarding the safety of their children.”

The business is asking those who would like to nominate a school or organisation, to do so through the Trusted PPE Facebook page. Nominations will close on Sunday, 21st June, and the successful nominees will be announced on Monday, 22nd June, with masks to be delivered that week.
