Big Sing to help Children In Need fundraising

Posted onPosted on 21st Oct

BBC Radio Nottingham presenter Mark Dennison is to team up with Nottinghamshire choirs for a spectacular night of fundraising in aid of the BBC’s annual Children In Need appeal on Sunday, 10th November

Following the station’s Big Sing campaign – exploring the social and wellbeing benefits singing can bring to a community – choirs from across the county will be joining Mark for Mark’s Big Sing Concert – an evening of music and entertainment.

The evening will also see performances from TV actress Vicky McClure and the Nottingham Dementia Choir and Classic Brit nominee Carly Paoli.

The concert will take place at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on 10th November at 7.30pm.

Mark said: “This year we’ve spoken a lot on the show about singing and how good it is for your physical and mental wellbeing. We’ve heard some amazing stories about how it’s changed people’s lives… and even saved lives too!

“Bringing together the county’s choirs at Mark’s Big Sing on 10th November is the perfect way to celebrate the joy of singing and to raise funds for this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal. I can’t wait!”
