Staff at a care home in Shirebrook are celebrating after being nominated in three categories for the Great British Care Awards.

The awards recognise excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence.

The nominees at Richmond Care Home include Kate Birch and Natasha Westwood ,who have been nominated for the Dignity In Care Award and the Care Home Activities Organiser Award respectively.

The entire Richmond Care Home team has been nominated for the Putting People First Award.

Last year Kate and Natasha were both finalists in the awards.

Kate said: “It’s an honour to see staff at Richmond Care Home nominated in the Great British Care Awards again. Receiving these nominations is a testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment to providing the highest standards of care.

“Richmond is a big part of all our lives. We strive to ensure our residents are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.”

The finalists of The Great British Care Awards will attend a regional gala dinner later in the year when they will learn if they have made it through to the national finals.

Richmond Care Home is a privately-owned and family-run care home, offering residential and dementia care for up to 40 people.
