Patients, families, carers and the public are being given the chance to recognise the most deserving members of staff at King’s Mill, Newark and Mansfield Community hospitals.

The People’s Award category for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Staff Excellence Awards 2016, gives people the chance to nominate the best individual or team. It could be a whole department, ward team, individual doctors, nurses or support team members.

Anyone can nominate for the People’s Award, which celebrates the dedication and commitment of all staff – from porters and cleaners, nurses and doctors through to administration staff and managers.

Chief executive Peter Homa said: “Our staff are our most important asset. These awards are an opportunity for patients to show their appreciation to our dedicated staff who so often go above and beyond to deliver exceptional care and services to patients, their loved ones and carers.”

Nominations must be made by September 30 and the winners will be revealed on November 3.
