Mansfield District Council is hosting a Vintage Mother’s Day event on Mansfield Market Place on Saturday, 25 March, from 11am to 2pm.
Visitors coming to town can enjoy vintage entertainment by a retro girl group, The Glamophones, at intervals throughout the day.
Mums and their families can then decorate a cupcake to take away, and also enjoy a free mini beauty treatment.
In addition to this there is also a mini vintage craft market running alongside the full market where visitors can pick up handmade gifts including ceramics, bath bombs, plaques, handmade Belgian chocolate and much more.
Children are also catered for at this special event as they get the opportunity to make their own Mother’s Day card to take home.
Mums can be entered into a prizedraw for the chance to win a £30 gift voucher to spend on the market.
Portfolio Holder for Cultural Services, Town and District Centres, Cllr David Smith, said: “With so much happening in the town centre, visitors are encouraged to come along and make the most of what’s on offer.
“The council is working hard to revitalise the town centre and with support from the public, together we can make a difference to our community.
“We hope as many people as possible can attend to support the town.”
