Top Blondie tribute to appear at One Call Stadium

Posted onPosted on 30th Aug

UK’s premier Blondie tribute act, Blondied, are coming to One Call Stadium in September.

They will be appearing in the 1861 Suite at the home of Mansfield Town FC on Saturday, 16th September.

Lead singer Michelle Hendriks’ band was formed 10 years ago, as a result of Hendriks appearing on ITV’s Stars And Their Doubles show.

Michelle was selected from thousands of look-alikes and her excellent rendition of Sunday Girl, along with her striking resemblance to Debbie Harry, generated so much interest from both booking agents and venues, that the next logical step for Michelle was to form a Blondie tribute band.

Blondied band members have travelled far and wide and they’ve worked in countries all over the world, including Germany, Denmark, Canada, Dubai, Russia and Japan.

Blondie’s appeal is far reaching and covers both the 70’s and 80’s decades.

Blondied have appeared at many high-calibre festivals including the massive Spa Tribute Festival in Belgium, where they played to an audience of over 15,000. To top last year’s success in Belgium, Blondied performed at the Silverstone Grand Prix after-show party, where the audience topped 25,000.

As well as being an uncanny Debbie Harry lookalike, Michelle also has the ability to perfectly emulate Debbie’s distinctive voice when performing her songs. There are many costume changes within the show, including several outfits modelled on Debbie Harry’s original costumes.
