There are 40 places in the world called Mansfield, or at least with “Mansfield” as part of their place name, and the Sister Cities Association of Mansfield is dedicated to forging links between those communities.

As part of the initiative, the Sister Sisters Concert is to be held at the Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, Chesterfield Road, Mansfield, on Saturday, 15th October, at 7.30pm.

The concert programme offers a “Trio of Delights”. Performing will be the Mansfield & District Male Voice Choir, The Singers (a local girl’s choir) and The Gentlemen, a group of nine male singers who sing accompanied and acapella pieces.

The men’s choir and the girls’ choir will perform some items together as an ensemble and all sets of performers will be singing a variety of traditional and contemporary popular numbers.

Attending will be representatives of the Sister Cities Association, including group chairman Stewart Rickersey.
