Posted onPosted on 28th Dec

A new exhibition, The Skies Above, is being staged at Mansfield Museum, from Saturday, 6 January to Saturday, 3 February.

The new display is in partnership with the Mansfield and Sutton Astronomical Society, based at Sherwood Observatory on Coxmoor Road, Sutton.

The exhibition will include some objects in the nearby universe, like the Noctilucent Clouds, The Sun, The Moon and an eclipse, along with more distant objects such as Nebulae and our galaxy itself, The Milky Way.

There is a free family event on Monday, 22 January, also called The Skies Above, from 7.30pm

There will be a small charge for refreshments. Booking is essential as there are limited places. The event will include inside and outside activities so dress appropriately.
