May is a month of music at the Palace Theatre

If it’s terrific tributes you’re after, then look no further than Mansfield Palace Theatre in May

Among a full programme of shows, including variety (The Dreamboys), children’s (Sarah & Duck’s Big Top Birthday), comedy (Menopause the Musical) and ballet (The Little Mermaid), there are a total of six shows paying homage to some of popular music’s finest artists.

Starting with Cilla and the Shades of the 60s on Wednesday 2 May, this stunning and elegant review of Cilla Black soars its way through the 60s including songs such as Anyone Who Had A Heart and You’re My World.

Next up is Wayne Dilks and his eight-piece band celebrate one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time in Faith – The George Michael Legacy on Friday 11 May. This show takes you on a musical journey with 35 years’ worth of hit records from Wham to his solo career, including video footage of George himself during the 25 Tour.

Michael King’s On Tour With Elvis returns by popular demand on Saturday 12 May, recreating all the ground-breaking rock ‘n’ roll hits.

The show allows fans to reminisce back to Elvis’s movie songs, million selling number ones, the 1968 Comeback Special including the famous black leather sit-down section, and, of course, his Las Vegas and touring years.

From the Producers of hugely-popular tribute show That’ll Be The Day comes Walk Right Back on Tuesday 22 May. This is a new production telling the story of the most successful duo of all time – The Everly Brothers.

Featuring hits such as Bye Bye Love, All I Have To Do Is Dream and Cathy’s Clown, this unique concert-based musical entwines the wonderful, sad yet glorious story of The Everly Brothers.

Madonna, one of the world’s most iconic figures, is showcased in Material Girl on Friday 25 May.

The Little Mix show on Thursday 31 May is a highly energetic tribute show that follows in the footsteps of the award-winning girl band, Little Mix.
