Volunteers needed to help autism support charity

Posted onPosted on 25th May

To mark Volunteers Week next week, Autism East Midlands – the largest autism specific charity in the East Midlands that has a range of services supporting both children and adults with autism as well as their families – is appealing for more volunteers to help.

The charity has a specialist school, adult residential and day services, family support hubs, outreach services, a diagnostic and assessment centre and specialist training for parents, carers and professionals.

Volunteers are needed to support the Locality Hub Co-ordinators at the hub in Kirkby.

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund, the hubs provide a regular meeting
point for families affected by autism, where they can access activities for children, as well as support, specialist training and advice.

To apply, email [email protected]

Volunteers are urgently required for its Flexible Day Support services at Mansfield Woodhouse.
