Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, which has offices in Mansfield and Sutton, are using their skills in writing Wills to again help a national fundraising initiative.

Will Aid has been running annually in November since 1988 and sees people making a Will with participating lawyers who waive their usual fee but invite people to make a donation to the Will Aid charities instead.

Suggested voluntary donations are £95 for a basic single Will or £150 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.

The money raised is then split between nine charities, including ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Save the Children, CIAF in Scotland, Sightsavers, NSPCC and Trocaire in Northern Ireland.

Since its launch, more than 275,000 people have made a Will through the scheme, helping to raise a total of more than £16m.

Fidler & Pepper have been taking part for a number of years, and have so far raised £20,707 for Will Aid.
