Support for Mansfield 10k

The Mansfield 10k returns on August 21st supporting Reach Learning Disability, which helps adults with learning disabilities.

It is being backed by McDonald’s, Slimming World, Mansfield Building Society and Mansfield District Council.

Local McDonald’s franchisee Jacqui Moore is the main event sponsor for 2016. Jacqui started her career at McDonald’s over 20 years ago and now runs three restaurants across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire including the restaurant in Mansfield West Gate.

Jacqui said: “I am delighted to be supporting the Mansfield 10k this year and wish all the runners the best of luck. As a local business owner, it’s great to see events like this taking place in Mansfield, and I’m honoured to be sponsoring the race alongside some other fantastic local enterprises.

“As a local business we are always looking for new ways to be part of the community, whether that’s through sponsorships like this, environmental initiatives, or even just through offering a restaurant with a great atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.”

Returning to Mansfield for a second year running, the event has an improved route. Runners will now complete two laps starting and ending in the Market Place.

Mayor Kate Allsop has shown great support for the Mansfield 10k and welcomes the partnership of Mansfield District Council with Reach, said: “We’re glad to support such a worthy charity and are honoured to be working in partnership on such a fantastic event for our town. We encourage as many runners as possible to sign up.”
