Success as I Love Mansfield card relaunched

The launch of the new I Love Mansfield has been hailed as a major success for the town centre.

The new card, managed by Mansfield BID (Business Improvement District), was launched on Saturday, coinciding with new Touchpoint voucher and display technology going live too.

Over the weekend, more than 1,000 local residents had signed up using the new www.ilovemansfield.co.uk website.

Users can now see more than 200 offers around the town centre which have been placed there by 119 retailers, who can now updated offers whenever they wish.

Used on a mobile phone, this site also can also act a digital card for use at Touchpoints around the town, if they prefer their mobiles to an actual physical card. A new app is soon to be released too.

On Saturday and Sunday, more than 600 Vouchers from 119 retailers were viewed on Touchpoints, installed by Rewarding Visits, in the Mansfield Library, the bus station and Four Seasons Shopping Centre. In addition, 200 vouchers were printed off for use in the town.

It is very early days, but the top performing vouchers so far have been for cafes and sandwich shops, with Ten Green Bottles followed by Time Cafe Bar topping the results.

Rachel French, from 10 Green Bottles, said: “The I Love Mansfield card has been running for some time, and has proved popular. I am sure when people get used to going to the Touchpoints and printing vouchers out, this new version will benefit many people and businesses.”

Guy Chatburn, from Rewarding Visit,s said: “When we installed the Touchpoints during the week, we saw how they have already become a talking point with their branding supporting the new card and displaying digital advertisements for local retailers and town events.

“While we are still right at the start of this journey, it is evident that the voucher technology is already helping to stimulate spending in town centre venues. It really has been a fantastic start in Mansfield.”

Sarah Nelson, from Mansfield BID, said: “We’ve had terrific feedback from card holders and from businesses alike. It’s been great to see the take up already and in such a short space of time.

“Once again, Mansfield town centre is leading the way in adopting digital technology to help drive footfall and assist businesses.”
