Freemasons of Kirkeby Lodge No. 5288, who meet on Nottingham Road, Mansfield, donated £400 to local girl Jade Ashley Humphries, who is going to the Martial Arts World Championships in Florida, in November, to defend the world title she won in Ireland last year.

Jade is pictured receiving the donation with some of the students of Mansfield Martial Arts Academy, who meet at Fitness Flex, Mansfield, on Saturdays and Jamie O’Hagan, 4th Dan senior instructor at MMAA and Kirkeby Lodge’s Master Elect for the coming year.

Jade said the donation would go a long way to support her.

Jamie said charity was at the heart of Freemasonry. Money raised goes to worthy causes, national and local.
