The Armchair Club, which has raised more than £200,000 for local sportspeople over the past 35 years, is hosting another fundraising evening.

The Sporting Heroes Ball will be held on Thursday, 11th October, at the Civic Quarter, Mansfield Civic Centre.

The special guest will be Olympic double gold medalist Rebecca Adlington, who will share a few insights about her successful career as a swimmer and television personality.

Broadcaster and local success story Katie Trinder is one of the hosts.

Guests will have a drinks reception from 6.30pm followed by dinner at 7.30pm.
