Egg-citing visit from the Stags

Posted onPosted on 10th Apr

Mansfield Town players helped spread Easter joy by visiting patients at the John Eastwood Hospice, Sutton.

Defenders George Taft and Rhys Bennett, midfielder Jamie McGuire, winger CJ Hamilton and frontmen Yoann Arquin and Matt Green handed out Easter eggs donated by Booker, chatted to patients and staff, signed autographs and posed for photographs.

Diane Humphreys, of the hospice, praised the players for their generosity.

“They were very friendly and have created a good atmosphere,” she said. “The staff looked forward to the visit and it was a great boost to us.”

Rhys said: “This has given us an opportunity to give something back to the community and bring some joy to people who may be missing it.”

Matt added: “We tried to put smiles on faces, doing our bit as a team and club. Hopefully our visit made the day a little brighter to the people we met.”

The club thanked Booker for donating the Easter eggs.
