Singing for well-being

DIANE HASLAM, a professional singer and voice teacher in Aiken, South Carolina, is leading a singing for well-being workshop at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, Mansfield.

Diane, director of four diverse choirs and owner of Vocal Dimensions Voice Studio, said the event on Sunday, 22nd July, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, was open to all and no singing experience was needed.

The workshop will cover vocal explorations, meditation, yogic and singing breathing exercises, call and response chants, and rhythmic play.

It aims to help people their powerful core by connecting breath and body, discover a freer voice, and boost self-confidence.

The workshop costs £10 (payable on the day) but registration is essential.
