Free paint is on offer on Thursday, 26th October, to Nottinghamshire residents thanks to the Community RePaint Nottinghamshire scheme run by Veolia, Nottinghamshire County Council’s waste contractors.

Last year Community RePaint added colour to the lives of over 419,000 people across the UK, including groups, charities and residents who took part in the Nottinghamshire Community RePaint scheme.

The paint reuse scheme accepts unwanted/surplus paint from Nottinghamshire residents at recycling centres in Warsop, Newark, Beeston and Calverton. Any tins that are at least half full of reusable paint are stored separately and are given away for free to registered community groups, schools and charities and at special one-off events to members of the public.

To pick up free paint on Thursday, 26th October, from 3.30pm–5.30pm at Calverton Recycling Centre, Hollinwood Lane, Calverton, NG14 6NR book a time slot by calling Nottinghamshire County Council on 0300 500 80 80. Pre booking is required.

Community groups, schools and charities can arrange an appointment online to collect paint from their chosen site via the Nottinghamshire County Council website:
