Free digital training for charities

Posted onPosted on 20th Jun

Small businesses and charities in Mansfield were given a digital-skills boost through a free Digital Know-How training event, hosted by Lloyds Banking Group in collaboration with Google and Reason Digital.

More than 30 organisations attended the event at the Civic Centre, Mansfield.

The half-day workshop, opened by Mansfield MP Ben Bradley, featured talks from digital experts at Lloyds Banking Group, Google and Reason Digital, who offered practical tips on how organisations could get online, manage cyber security and use social media platforms to reach new audiences.

Paul Sear, of Mansfield First Aid, who attended the event, said: “This will really focus our digital efforts to maximise the business. We have been scratching the surface but tools like Google analytics should really help us to see how our adverts are performing.”

The event was hosted by Lloyds Banking Group as part of its Helping Britain Prosper plan, which has seen the group train one in every four of its colleagues to help individuals and organisations improve their digital skills and financial capability.

Martin Dodd, Lloyds Banking group ambassador for the Midlands, said: “We have more than 3,500 digital champions across the Midlands helping individuals and organisations improve their online skills, as part of our plan to help Britain prosper.”
