Celebration at new DIY store

Posted onPosted on 16th Mar

Mansfield business Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies is celebrating a successful open day at its new store in the town.

Around 1,400 home, trade and DIY essentials are stocked alongside leading workwear brands such as Helly Hansen, Snickers, Dickies, Portwest, Rockfall, Caterpillar and Dr Martens.

The open day at Hall-Fast Home & Trade Essentials, Anglia Way, was attended by hundreds of tradespeople, businesses and members of the public, who saw product demonstrations from Karcher, took advantage of open day offers and watched life-saving demonstrations from partners the Mansfield Community First Responders.

The opening, which followed the closure of B&Q and Peggs DIY stores in the area last year, has been seen as positive news for the area.

Owners Malcolm and Rachel Hall saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market.

She said: “It was great to see so many familiar and new faces on the day.

“We have opened our doors to the public for the first time and we just need to get the word out.

Sales on the day were better than we expected so we hope to be all set for a bright future.”

Hall-Fast’s core business is outside of the East Midlands, where it supplies a standard range of 200,000 items to 22,500 customers in 92 countries. Last month Mr Hall, managing director, was made an export champion by the Department for International Trade.

The store is open from 8.30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Go to www.hall-fast.com for more information.
