A new online business launched by a Sutton couple was highlighted in a national newspaper.
My Birthday Vouchers, which featured in the NewsJournal last year and was launched in February, was named as website of the week by The Sun.
The unique new venture, aimed at both local businesses and local people, allows firms to make discount vouchers available to people close to their birthdays.
The online vouchers could contain special offers in areas like food, beauty, days out and much more.
My Birthday Vouchers — www.MyBirthdayVouchers.co.uk — is run by managing director James Phipps and his partner, operations director Emma Brewster.
James, formerly of Forest Town, said: “We are delighted our scheme has been recognised by such a mass-market publication as The Sun as we only launched two months ago.
“The interest and response we are receiving is fantastic. As our voucher offering increases so does the traffic to our website, which is great news.
“In the coming months we aim to launch various other categories and offers, including fashion, pets, hotels, takeaways, fitness, travel and offers tailored for children, to name a few.
“Our scheme is available to both local and national businesses, allowing them to market to local people.
“If you are a business and you are looking to attract new clients/customers, please get in touch through our website to see how our scheme could help you.”
The couple thanked Mansfield business dijitul, which put its website together and has continued to support My Birthday Vouchers.
