A Mansfield recruitment company celebrating its 10th anniversary and a Forest Town firm have teamed up to try to fill around 70 vacancies.

Essential Recruitment has formed a partnership with Schoolblazer, a leading supplier of uniforms and sportswear for independent schools across the UK and into Europe.

Schoolblazer, which deals with around 150 schools, is looking for more than 40 sewing machinists and around 30 warehouse operatives to join the staff at its Forest Town base from May to September.

It requires lockstitch sewing machinists, packers and people to work in returns, dispatch and IT.

Operations manager Sean Ryan said: “We recruit up to 100 employees during our peak season and are delighted to have formed a partnership with Essential Recruitment to fulfil our staffing requirements for 2016.”

Essential branch manager Belinda Henshaw said: “We are proud to be working in partnership with Schoolblazer to provide all its additional labour requirements.”

Essential was founded in 2006 when two branches were opened in Mansfield and Ripley and since then further branches have been added in Chesterfield, Worksop, Barnsley, Wakefield, Burton, Long Eaton and Derby.
