Edwinstowe-based construction company Robert Woodhead Ltd has appointed Des Moore as business development manager.

Des joined the business in February, bringing with him decades of experience in construction and regeneration with a range of contacts and business development skills the company believes will further aid its continued growth.

Glenn Slater, business development director at Robert Woodhead Ltd, said: “We’re delighted to have appointed Des. His years of experience in the industry across a range of sectors including regeneration and public-private sector partnerships, will help us to grow the business and broaden our scope across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.

“He also believes passionately in delivering projects that leave a legacy for the communities we work in, which is well aligned with our considerate and socially conscious approach to construction and community regeneration”

Des began his career as a quantity surveyor before moving on to roles in marketing and business development taking up senior positions with several well known construction and regeneration companies in the region.

Most recently Des has managed his own business, which he built over five years. He has now chosen to return to the construction industry and the working environment he’s always loved.

I hope I can use my experience to support the business as it continues to grow, helping the team find the key opportunities in the sectors and regions they are looking to focus on.”

A keen sportsman, Des spends his free time playing golf, cycling, skiing , as well as spending time with his family and friends.
