Mansfield-based Hall-Fast was a winner at the National Family Business Place Red Ribbons awards at Wembley, London — its 29th major award since it started trading in August 2006.

The industrial supplies firm triumphed in the Big Hearts Community section, which recognised its fundraising efforts, sponsorship of sports-based community programmes and contribution to its local community.

Company founder and managing director Malcolm Hall said: “Giving back and doing our bit for others in our local communities and further afield is something that is core to our own family values.

“We are proud that the success of our family business enables us to do our bit.

“It is even more special that this award comes just a few weeks before we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our family business.”
