An award-winning Mansfield business is getting ready to celebrate its third birthday with its customers.

The Shiny Spoon café, on Toothill Lane, which has won many awards, will give diners on Friday, 18th August, free Prosecco and goody bags.

Co-owner Craig Stevens said: “We feel we stand out from our competitors by providing a cosy, homely atmosphere.

“We are set in a historical building packed full of character and charm, which suits our business wonderfully.

“We are located on the outskirts of the town centre, which means we are easily accessible but also offer a quiet and peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping area.”

The café was opened by Craig and his business partner, Stephen Gregory, in August 2014.

They transformed the historic premises and its tired shop front to create a friendly and welcoming venue that has won praise from customers.

It is the current number one Mansfield café on TripAdvisor, has a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and has twice won gold at the town centre customer awards.

The thriving business uses produce sourced locally and all food is freshly prepared.

It is well known for its cream teas, sweet treats, bespoke cakes and simple, classic homemade food with restaurant-quality service. There is also a takeaway service.
