Sophie Wise (above), who works in the conveyancing department at Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, has been shortlisted in the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards Nottinghamshire Apprentice of the Year category

She said: “It’s fantastic to be shortlisted for a job you love doing.”

Although she has yet to finish her apprenticeship, Fidler & Pepper has taken the unusual step of fast-tracking her to train as a trainee assistant.

Matt Slade, partner and head of conveyancing at Fidler & Pepper, which has offices in Mansfield and Ashfield, said: “We have been particularly impressed with her recent support to a new apprentice.”
